A new Divergent still has been released and instead of facing knives, Shailene's character Tris Prior faces ledges and a high jump into the courtyard below as part of initiation into the faction, Dauntless. Director Neil Burger said that what is shown is the real deal, meaning that Shailene is up on that ledge! Commenting on that, Burger stated that "Shailene says she’s not afraid of heights but that she’s afraid of falling. This makes perfect sense to me. But she really did stand on that ledge -- this is a real photo. She’s incredibly game and so adventurous," he says. "In a way, she’s very Dauntless." A brave feat indeed!

First off, I'd like to apologize for the lack of updates around here. Both admins have been very busy and I hope that this update will make up for the time.

Yes, you read the title correctly! There has been a first look photo released of Shailene as Tris Prior in Divergent. In addition to the photo that can be found below, Shailene also shared her thoughts about the assembled cast of the movie that includes Ashley Judd, Kate Winslet, Theo James, and Zoe Kravitz.

“It’s a good group,” she says. “We’re hanging out on weekends, celebrating birthdays. Everyone just wants to get to know one another. It’s rare to get a big group together and not have any conflicts. It’s really kind of amazing.”

Shailene, among many celebrities such as Jack Black and Tilda Swinton, will attend the Ebertfest Film Festival that runs from April 17-21 in Illinois. Legendary film critic Roger Ebert died on April 4 and there were rumors that the 15th annual film festival had been postponed due to his unforeseen death. That, however, is not the case and the festival will continue as planned.

Fantastic news! Shailene has landed the lead in another highly anticipated film! The Fault in Our Stars, written by New York Times Best Selling Author John Green, has now found its Hazel and Shailene is stepping into the role. Shailene has finished filming The Amazing Spider-Man 2, and will soon be getting to work on Divergent which also stars her Spectacular Now co-star Miles Teller!

Director John Boone and John Green have stated their approval of the casting choice.

Shailene was spotted Monday (March 11, 2013) leaving her hotel and from there, making her way to the set of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 where she shot scenes with co-star Emma Stone. By the looks of the pictures, the rivals for Peter Parker's affections meet and only the movie will tell where the meet up will lead.
